Imperial Norway and Neo Dixie have profoundly different approach to their military. Neo Dixie is half of the former United States. In the time before the 2020s it was the undisputed superpower of the world outspending all outer nations to build one of the largest and most advanced militaries in the world. Neo Dixie inherited parts of the enormous military machine.

However Neo Dixie has done little to advance this military. The feudal structure of power consisting of a patchwork of warlords and street gangs means they military is not very organized or well maintained. Yet they have access to a large amounts of military gear. Anything from helicopter, tanks, fighter jets to artillery and jeeps.

Imperial Norway in contrast is a tightly controlled regimented state under supreme leader Svanhild Hvidsten, thoroughly militarized. Women are trained to be soldiers at an early age and all women serve years in the armed forces. Typically there is a rotation system so that everyone must spend a couple of months in the armed forces each year next to their civilian job.

The Empire spent its resources strategically to develop highly specialized weapons. Imperial Norway is known for its airships, gauss guns, drones, superior armor and orbital cannons.

Krag-48 Assault Rifle

High powered gauss gun using T8 aluminum-air batteries. Developed by Vieregg Industries and Kongsberg Defense. Variable power. Possible to fire in lethal and non-lethal mode.

During the Neo Dixie rebellion against the New Confederacy, Imperial Norway helped supply armor, but this was built to withstand conventional rifles. They have not been effective against gauss gun rifles used by Imperial Norway.

Hector thought about the last time he was at Vieregg and Idun's place, the couple of had once rescued Daphny from the horrible hucow farm, while both served in the Imperial Norwegian matriarchy army. He had gone into their basement and picked up Idun's Krag 48 Gauss rifle, then an aluminum-air battery of type T8 which fit in the krag. He even powered on the rifle, watched the boot sequence in the form of blink LED lights.

Imperial Norway Gauss Guns

Imperial Norway has developed a wide variety of gauss guns for different purposes. Krag-22 is a commonly used sidearm, while Krag-48 is the standard assault rifle for Imperial Norwegian Matriarchy army.

There are also more specialized guns such as the Krag-55, Krag-30 and Krag-20 used. The Krag-64 is a popular sniper rifle.

Armor in Imperial Norway

Vieregg Industries has developed two types of amor:

  • Valborg Panser — Heavy-duty full-body coverage armor
  • Yrsa Panser — Partial body coverage called . Lighter allowing for more mobility.

Both of these types of armor come in numerous variants. In part due to a large number of specialized units and regional pride in Norway there are many stylistic variations on these types of armor.

Armor in Neo Dixie

A more detailed description of Neo Dixie armor will be provided here later. Their amor was developed together with Imperial Norway before they became enemies while the country went through a civil war.
